Marie + Nick | Wooded Elopement Oregon Coast

Marie reached out to me to document her and Nick’s elopement. They wanted something intimate, especially with COVID making it difficult to secure venues, etc., this seemed like a perfect fit to do anyway.

They both go to Elkton in Oregon regularly to camp and wanted to have it there since it was a special location. I was blown away at the beauty of the vineyard that they were staying at. They decided to rent the Yurt that was located on the property to get ready and to stay in that night. They took myself and my second shooter, Lindsay (Till Death Do We Adventure) to their favorite spot on the river as well. Brenna Burnett Florals provided the gorgeous bouquet, bout, and hair comb.

Elkton is such a small little town on the way to the Oregon coast and you can really miss it’s beauty if you go to quickly through.

What made this special is that she wanted to have a first look with him and spend the day adventuring and getting beautiful photos without the ceremony. The next day we met at their home in Beaverton and I was able to document the ceremony in their front room. They only had their parents (and furry babies) in attendance. It was at the ceremony that I really felt so lucky to be invited into such an intimate moment of their lives. You really don’t get to be a part of strangers lives in such a meaningful way very often, but as a photographer you do often. It was very touching.

I’m excited to share some of these memories. Two wonderful people declaring their love for one another is something remarkable and I definitely don’t take it for granted. Congratulations to you both!
