Romantic Oregon Garden Wedding, Silverton | Kelly + Jeff

This small wedding in Silverton was hosted at the Oregon Gardens,

an 80 acre botanical garden. It has a gorgeous resort for people to stay and countless gardens for guests to walk through.

This wedding for Kelly and Jeff was so very sweet and sentimental. Kelly found me online and we connected instantly. They live in Arizona but Jeff is originally from Beaverton Oregon. They wanted to come to Oregon and have their wedding at the gardens because that is where Jeff proposed. They are both such sentimental people.

They had their ceremony in the Market Garden with the reception in the Bosque. I highly recommend this location in the garden considering how timeless it is and the Bosque is such a romantic setting for a reception.

One of the most touching parts of the day is when Kelly’s mom saw her in her dress as they were getting ready. Kelly’s mom and sister were there to help her get ready. Both Kelly and Jeff had their fathers pass away, which seemed to be one of the many reason’s why this wedding was so sentimental for me.

The first look was also very touching. Jeff had tears coming down his face before he even turned around to see Kelly. Their first dance and walking down the aisle had me choking up, and I was grateful for Jeff making light and sticking his tongue out during their dance.

A unique part of the wedding was the live band that they hired, Hans and the Wanted. Such a great touch to make for livening the party. I highly recommend 10/10 to hire a live band at any wedding after this one. It makes a huge difference.

Their close friends who own Lux Sucre Desserts brought an amazing garden-themed wedding cake and desserts. They laid out the entire table with sweets. Completely spoiling all the guests and couple.

The end of the night was very bittersweet. I didn’t want to leave and by the end, I felt like friends with Kelly and Jeff and their families. One of the best days I will never forget.

Wanting to get married at the Oregon Gardens? Here are some tips and things to consider:

Consider time of year, how many guests you’re having as it will impact which spaces you can use. If you’re looking for specific vendors that are local to the area, we can make a customized list. I do have some that I recommend that are local:

Florals: Wildflower Portland

Hair and Makeup: Marina Haynes Artistry

Officiant: Officiant Jimmie

Best places to stay in Silverton:

Location:

Silverton is an hour south of Portland International Airport. Make sure to have your guests either rent a car or you can rent a shuttle.

Weather in Silverton Oregon:

The warmest parts of the year are between June 27 and September 17, with average daytime temps ranging from 70 to 90 degrees. West of the Cascade mountain range gets a ton of rain, with an average of 9.3 inches of rain annually. Make sure to prep if you’re coming during the winter and fall.

Best time to have a wedding in Silverton:

Spring through fall which would be June through the end of September.

Things to do:

Silverton has some amazing antique shopping. Here are my two favorite shops on Water Street: Silverton Antique Mall, and Red Bench.

In the summer, Silver Falls State park has some epic hikes and beautiful waterfalls. It is one of the wonders of Oregon.

Best places to eat in Silverton:

Gather Cafe. You will find a lot of places to eat, but I recommend the unique restaurants in old town. Mac’s Place is also amazing because of the charming riverside seating that is an experience on it’s own. If you and your guests are in town for a few days, you will definitely want to plan to take the Oregon Farm Loop Dinner to get the full Oregon meal experience with farm-to-table menus.

To See:

You have to visit the Gordon House. It is an architectural dream. Of course seeing a piece of history so near to Silverton is super unique and offers something different to see for your guests.

In the meantime, enjoy these photos from such a sweet wedding.

XO,

Casi
