Location

Nestled on a cliffside overlooking the columbia River Gorge

Unmatched Views: Exchange vows on the cliffside Ceremony Lawn, framed by the original stone wall and sweeping Gorge views that stretch for miles.

Versatile Spaces: From the elegant clear tent reception area to the cozy Griffin’s Wing and Den for getting ready, every corner of this venue is designed with your wedding in mind.

Customizable Experience: Whether you envision a laid-back elopement or a glamorous gala, The Griffin House provides a blank canvas to bring your vision to life.

Why Choose The Griffin House for Your Wedding?

This luxury outdoor wedding venue boasts panoramic vistas of rugged cliffs, winding rivers, and the Cascade Mountains.

Ceremony Lawn: Positioned along the cliff’s edge, this spot offers unobstructed views of the Columbia River Gorge—ideal for a dramatic “I do” moment. Hands down, my favorite spot. The couple’s silhouetted against the Gorge at sunset? Pure magic.

Reception Tent: The 2,600-square-foot clear tent keeps you immersed in the scenery while protecting against the elements, complete with string lights for a magical ambiance. I love sneaking candids here during cocktail hour—guests sipping wine with that insane view behind them.

Getting Ready Spaces: The Griffin’s Wing offers a dreamy, light-filled suite, while the vintage-inspired Griffin’s Den features a bar, patio, and mysterious charm.

Welcome Terrace: A serene spot for pre-ceremony mingling or a cocktail hour with a view.

Eastern Lawn: Perfect for golden hour portraits or an intimate dinner under the stars.

Usable spaces

There are distinct spaces at the Griffin house for each part of your wedding day experience

From a photographer’s POV, this venue and their team is a breeze to work with. The team here gets it—they’ve helped me time shots around the wind and sun, and they’re pros at keeping the day flowing (along with the amazing planners of course). I’ve seen weddings here range from tiny elopements to 175-guest bashes, and every one feels personal. The shuttle requirement for guests is a smart touch—keeps everyone safe and lets me focus on capturing the fun, not parking chaos. Pricing starts at $5,500 and goes up to $10,500 depending on your crowd and season, and it’s worth every penny for what you get. The flow from where guests arrive, to ceremony, to the reception all move easily in terms of direction and it just makes sense. I also appreciate that the couple can get ready on site, and there is no need for traveling back and forth from getting ready, to ceremony, to reception.
