Our vision for this inspired shoot at Everett West in Portland Oregon was to take tradition and give it an edge. Not every couple fits into the standard wedding and we wanted to showcase this with a nod to Marie Antoinette.
I love that this shoot allowed for the pretty florals and delicate elements but included more modern elements like the clear acrylic boxes over the florals, and the laser-cut names on the plates.
The pops of black and coral move away from the traditional light and airy colors of many weddings. Rather than having wedding drinks, there were boozy popsicles. Instead of a standard dress, the bride wore a white jumpsuit under a tulle wrap.
Everett West is such a modern location and it gave us the flexibility to showcase a garden vibe with pretty elements and bring the cement floors and industrial vibe into the shoot. The combination of both gave that edge to such a pretty and delicate set up on the table. My favorite part of the location was the gorgeous iconic burst light in the backdrop of the table setting.
The garden party vibe of the wedding was pulled indoors in an industrial space. The entire shoot showcased the talents of the local artisans and sourced items which made it especially unique.
