Intimate Cape Disappointment Couples Session | Taylor + Austin

These two cuties have such a great story of how they met, how Austin proposed and why this location is so special to them.

I met them super early in the parking lot at Cape Dissapointment and we started chatting about how they met and how he proposed. They’re actually high school sweethearts and after graduation Austin moved back to Hawaii. They did the long distance thing for two years and he moved back to Oregon. They ended up going on a trip together to San Francisco. What is so funny about it is that he had a whole dinner planned and was going to propose to her then. He even took her shopping to get an outift for that night!

He got so nervous that he didn’t propose, but Taylor said she had an awesome time. Later on she said she totally realized that he was going to propose but didn’t.

The day after they went to the beach by the bridge (which they didn’t realize was a nude beach) and he proposed there. The best part? Some guy just got naked right then and there. I would say that is the most memorable proposal ever.

What I love most about this session and about Taylor and Austin is that they are the kind of people you just want to be around. No fluff, just genuine kind and funny. When you find people who have the same values as you, it just makes for a great experience all around. That is why I recommend to talk with your photographer first and if you have a good gut feeling – then it is probably meant to be!

Cape Disappointment also adds to the magic. I would definitely encourage you to go there if you are looking for a beautiful (and mostly tourist free in the winter) beach.
