This inspired wedding in Central Oregon was the result of many talented wedding vendors coming together to put their ideas together in one fabulous collaboration.
Marina and Dane are the example of passion that I love to photograph. I feel like many of my couples have such unique tastes and that makes me really appreciate how unique each person is. Photographing the details, the things they thought about and getting the entire feel for the day is something that I absolutely love.
The inspiration for the shoot was to incorporate the colors you would normally see in Central Oregon, as well as to include traditional and off-beat elements. The wedding planner, Dorotheea from Kamea Events has an absolute talent when it comes to pulling together unique elements.
She wanted to break pieces of slate to make a really unique texture on the sweetheart table, which I thought was such a wonderful touch. The stationary colors, as well as the cake and florals all added to the overall feeling of the shoot.
Taking tradition and turning it on its head was definitely represented in the two gowns that were chosen. Elizabeth Dye has a wonderful way of pulling together color, texture, and style into extremely classy gowns. We loved being able to contrast her dresses to the very rugged environment.
Heather from Sea Of Roses put spectacular installations together for the altar, as well as the sweetheart table. I couldn’t get over how well everything flowed. Almost as if it sprung up from the earth itself. The color palette tied in so well with the gowns and added such a finishing touch to the entire theme.
If you plan to have a wedding in the Bend or Central Oregon area, I highly encourage you to utilize the natural aspects of the landscape. Its unlike anywhere else. Include these vendors too, they sure know what they’re doing!
